On 24th November 2010 we ran a free temps training workshop presented by Ian Wooler, Knowledge Management and MBTI Consultant. The one hour interactive course focused on using MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator) to improve communication and understanding communication preferences of others.
The course was really well received and feedback was excellent even from the ‘personality-type’ sceptics:
“I thought the presentation was interesting and can see how it would be useful in organising teams, and recognising how different people work.”
“I liked Ian as a presenter, he was really good. Very clear, easy to follow and engaging, with useful insights where needed... he puts you at ease straight away. In terms of the topic, I'd never come across it before, and I've never usually paid much attention to personality trait types or testing, so I was quite intrigued. I found it interesting in terms of its history and where it's been used, plus the why. I quite liked the fact it was used for troops returning from World War Two. The most useful parts were probably the types of personality traits and how communication takes place, and the subtle differences between them, or how one complements the other. I could definitely see aspects of that at work in a few places... good fun.”
A huge thank you to Ian Wooler for presenting his course and to all those who attended, it made for an interesting and enjoyable evening.
